Always handle them with care and hold them by their edges. Prevent loss of values by avoiding scratches and other damages by laying it flat on its surface.

Place them in a dark, dry, and cool environment to avoid discoloration, bent corners and extreme wear resulting from bright light, high temperature and humidity. This can decrease greatly the value of card, even below its original cost. Purchasing plastic or poly sleeves can be helpful to keep your cards protected, straight, and flat.

If you have a big collection, put them in a storage box that will protect them from being chewed by rodents and make an inventory to have easy access. You can label them accordingly so that it can aid you in getting organized. Sports cards for sale can be a very good investment in the near future.
